Rendezvous is a part of our culture and heritage and has become the Chamber’s Signature Event in the Tobacco Valley. This year, the Eureka Area Chamber of Commerce has joined in partnership with Eureka Rural Development Partners (ERDP), which is hosting the Kick Off Concert on April 26th. The Kick Off Concert is also going to see significant changes with three bands! The opening act of Laura Austin Family Band, part of who live right here in Eureka, will kick start the evening at 7:00pm with beautiful lyrics designed for community visiting and family dancing. Our Headliners this year are Blackjack Billy from Nashville. This five-man band will bring high energy and lots of dancing, which is why this year at the event there is a 20'x20' dance floor and the “Big Tent” has been expanded to 60x150 feet! And, this is the first year that the Kick Off Concert will have an after party. The After Party will start after the Blackjack Billy performance (2 hours!), and take us into the late evening with the ever popular O’Connell Band, with Eureka’s very own Chance Cole. We are super excited about the Kick Off Concert which will have concessions and desserts available along with a beer garden serving adult and kid friendly drinks.

April 26th-28th is this year’s dates and all our favorites along with new venues are added to the lineup of activities this year. Last year was the first year that the Rodeo Association joined us and this year they are along with the 3-Can Rendezvous Barrel racing event. As always the Rendezvous Days Parade starts at 12:00pm (noon) and takes the route right down Main Street! This is one of the largest Parades in Northwest Montana and we have everything from horses to antique cars in the parade. It’s a wonderful event for all ages! The ever popular David Thomas Black Powder Shoot will once again be held on the property of Indian Springs Ranch and ongoing throughout the entire weekend, with a walk through of the primitive campground scheduled for Saturday evening. There is also the Mud Bogs and Sand Drags on airport road which is a favorite activity of the residents.

Changes have occurred this year with some of the Rendezvous activities locations. The Lincoln County Fairgrounds will be the home of the Rendezvous Vendors as well as the Car Show this year. Because of this move, the Rendezvous Vendors will be a two day event starting at 9:00am on Saturday and going throughout Sunday afternoon. Also at the Fairgrounds will be live music Saturday (open stage) from 1:00 to 6:00pm under the Big Tent, a beer garden, foods, drinks, and the Flea Market/Craft Show along with the Quilt Show all will be happening. However, there is still plenty to do in the downtown area including shopping at our great stores, bringing your kids to the Glacier Bank Gold Rush, enjoying a Pancake Breakfast at the Senior Citizen Center, or having a lasagna lunch at the VFW. Though you recommend going early for the lasagna as it goes fast! Also enjoy all that Eureka has by checking out our businesses and enjoying a wonderful meal at our local restaurants that are across the Tobacco Valley. This is a great weekend to be Eureka… check out our business guide to plan your trip today!
